My journey in design started during my senior year at Oregon State University, where I worked at a small graphic design studio, creating web pages for local businesses. This early exposure to real-world projects fueled my passion for design, especially web design.

After graduating, I joined an advertising agency where I broadened my experience by designing websites for a variety of industries, including resorts, banks, golf courses, and outdoor recreation.

Next, I joined Hewlett-Packard, where I worked alongside engineers to develop an internal web application for tracking printer part orders. This role introduced me to the more technical side of design, where I collaborated closely with developers to create functional and intuitive software solutions.

I later returned to Portland to take on the role of lead designer at a retail phone service company. Here, I worked with the software engineering team to develop tools that analyzed consumer phone and address data. This experience deepened my understanding of data-driven design and its impact on business strategy.

For the past several years, I have focused on designing enterprise software in the healthcare industry. Working in healthcare has been incredibly rewarding as it allows me to directly contribute to improving user experiences that make a real difference in people’s lives. Designing tools that help healthcare providers and patients navigate complex systems has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and traveling to new and exciting destinations. These adventures help fuel my creativity and inspire new ideas in both my professional and personal life.
